AWS S3 exposes
- [[HTTP endpoint]]: not encrypted
- [[HTTPS endpoint]]: encryption in flight

You're free to use the [[endpoint]] you want, but [[HTTPS]] is recommended
- [[HTTPS]] is mandatory for SSE-C
- Encryption in flight is also called [[SSL - TLS]]
